Presto 16-Quart Aluminum Pressure Cooker Canner
This Presto 16-quart pressure cooker allows you to create your own jams, jellies, and much more. It features an easy-to-read gauge to keep you informed of your cooking progress. The air vent and cover lock ensure ideal pressure and added safety. Two cool-touch handles provide easy portability.
Pressure Canners can also double as water bath canners* for preserving fruits, jams, jellies, pickles, and salsas. Pressure canning is the sole method recommended as safe by the U.S.D.A. for low-acid foods such as vegetables, meats, and fish.
The easy-to-read gauge automatically registers a complete range of processing pressures. The air vent/cover lock allows pressure to build up only when the cover is closed properly and prevents the cover from opening until the pressure is safely reduced.
Pressure Canners are constructed of extra-strong, warp-resistant aluminum, making them suitable for use on regular and smooth-top ranges. They include a cooking/canning rack and a complete instruction and recipe book.
The Mason jar capacity of this 16-quart (15.1 liters) Pressure Canner is 12 Half-Pints, 10 Pints, or 7 Quarts. The water bath method is only suitable for pints and half pints.
